• First aid kits in the UK need to comply with British Standard BS-8599. The size and type required will depend on your first aid needs risk assessment
• Medicines are not advised to be kept in a first aid kit. First aid kits should be easy to find and accessible to all. This creates a risk of young children being able to access the medicines / tablets
• Supplies should be within date and replenished when required
• As a workplace first aider, it is your responsibility to check first aid kits at regular intervals
