The 3 day First Aid at Work course is our most advanced First Aid certification. It provides you with a comprehensive set of skills needed by any official first aider at work. Over 3 days of practical, fun and interactive First Aid training, you will gain the exact skills and qualifications needed to be a designated First Aider on site.
After successfully completing the course, you are provided with a certificate which is valid for 3 years. This fully complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
This first aid at work training is the highest level of First Aid that we offer. The majority of our clients for this course work in “high risk environments”. The HSE considers the following industries to be high risk:
Note for Corporate Clients: We advise the majority of our standard corporate/office clients that they legally do not need this advanced training, but rather the 1-Day Emergency First Aid at Work course.
However, you should ensure at least one person within your organisation is First Aid at Work (3-Day) trained. This ensures there is one go-to person in case of a serious incident who is supremely confident in their abilities. Remember, you always need a minimum of two trained people within the organisation in case your primary First Aider falls ill or is on holiday.

We pride ourselves on enjoyable, practical and realistic training. We aim to create a relaxed and friendly environment while ensuring you have all the support you need. Our focus is on building your confidence in your own ability to deal with a real medical emergency. Our goal is to ensure that if you had to put your skills to use in real-life, you would have zero hesitation in saving someone’s life.
Our First Aid at Work course is 18 hours in total, which spans over 3 days. We offer flexible options including weekend courses, and we try to offer at least one condensed First Aid at Work course per month (Check our course schedule above for dates).

The main difference between the two courses, apart from the duration, is the amount of detail and the types of emergencies covered.
The 1-Day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is the most basic accredited course we offer. It is most suitable for people working in corporate, retail, education, and low-risk environments.
On the other hand, the 3-Day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is the most thorough training we offer. This course is specifically required for industries functioning in high-risk environments such as construction, manufacturing, sports, and warehousing, or for designated head first aiders in large offices.
The trainers employed by Siren are presently working or ex-emergency service professionals. Each trainer brings many years of real-world, life-saving experience and techniques to share directly with you.
Following successful assessment and completion of the course, each student is awarded a HSE recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years. Under current HSE guidelines, it is strongly recommended that you refresh your First Aid at Work skills once every 12 months through a half-day refresher course.

No, there is no intimidating traditional written exam! You will be continuously assessed by your instructor throughout the 3 days on your practical skills, followed by a short, straightforward multiple-choice question paper at the end.
Don't worry, our active 999 emergency trainers ensure you are fully prepared and confident before you take the paper.
Not at all. This 3-day First Aid at Work course is designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to refresh their skills. We start from the absolute basics and build your confidence up step-by-step over the 3 days.
Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and flat shoes. First aid is a very practical, hands-on subject, and you will be expected to participate in physical activities such as kneeling on the floor to perform CPR on our training dummies.
We provide free tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout all 3 days to keep your energy up! However, lunch is not provided.
You are very welcome to bring your own packed lunch, or you can visit one of the many local cafes, shops, and restaurants located near all of our London training venues.
Upon successful completion, your First Aid at Work certificate is fully HSE recognised and valid for 3 years.
While the certificate lasts 3 years, the HSE strongly recommends that you take a half-day annual refresher course to keep your life-saving skills sharp in your memory.
